TESLA POWERWALL BACKUP GATEWAY
The Powerwall now includes a Backup Gateway, offering uninterrupted electricity supply during power outages.
This vital feature enables the continued operation of essential household appliances such as lights, washing machines, dishwashers, ovens, and hobs.
Additionally, the Backup Gateway intelligently manages power distribution by automatically disconnecting high-load appliances like electric vehicle chargers and heat pumps, ensuring that sufficient power is allocated to meet the demands of critical devices.
By having a substantial storage capacity, you position yourself to reap the advantages of “time of day” charging facilitated by Smart Meters.
This means you can leverage free charging from your solar panels or take advantage of low-cost electricity from the grid during specific hours, further enhancing the financial benefits.
It is worth noting that the Powerwall stands out as the most sought-after battery option in the Australia market.

SIGENSTOR CAPTURES THE POWER OF THE SUN
SIGENERGY OFF-GRID SOLAR FAQS
What Is a Sigenergy Off-Grid Solar System?
A Sigenergy off-grid system combines solar panels, a SigenStor controller, modular battery storage, a Sigen Energy Gateway and, where required, a compatible generator to operate independently from the electricity grid. It produces and stores energy on site so the property can operate through the day, overnight and during reduced solar generation.
How Does an Off-Grid Solar System Work?
Solar first supplies the property and charges the battery. When solar is insufficient, the battery supplies the loads; a compatible generator can assist during extended poor weather, low battery conditions or unusually high demand.
How Much Battery Storage Do I Need?
Capacity is calculated from daily and overnight usage, essential loads, required autonomy, seasonal solar production and the generator strategy. HI-PRO completes a load assessment before recommending the battery quantity.
Can the System Run Air Conditioning and Pumps?
Yes, when correctly designed. Air conditioners, pumps, refrigeration and workshop equipment can have high starting currents, which must be included in the inverter, battery and generator sizing.
What Happens During Several Cloudy or Rainy Days?
The battery continues supplying energy while capacity is available. If reserves become low, a compatible generator can support the loads and may supply energy to the battery system, depending on the approved configuration. Solar oversizing, suitable battery autonomy and load management are essential for dependable year-round operation.
Can a Generator Be Integrated with SigenStor?
Yes. The Sigen Energy Gateway supports compatible generator connection, two-wire start and remote control through the mySigen app. The generator model, control method, phase arrangement and output capacity must be confirmed during design.
Is Sigenergy Suitable for Farms and Rural Properties?
Yes. A correctly designed system can suit rural homes, farms, sheds, cabins, workshops and remote buildings, including sites with pumps, refrigeration or machinery.
Does an Off-Grid System Require Maintenance?
The Sigenergy equipment is low maintenance, but periodic inspection of the solar array, battery, controller, Gateway, protection devices and generator is recommended. Reliable communications should also be maintained for app monitoring, diagnostics, updates and support.
Can the Sigenergy Off-Grid System Be Expanded Later?
Yes. SigenStor supports one to six compatible battery modules per controller. Additional solar, storage or parallel systems may be possible after checking the original design and electrical capacity.
How Long Does a Sigenergy Battery Last?
Eligible products have a 10-year manufacturer’s warranty. The current Australian performance warranty provides at least 70% usable energy for 10 years or until the applicable throughput limit is reached, whichever occurs first, subject to the terms.
Can Sigenergy Off-Grid Solar Be Used for Businesses?
Yes. SigenStor may suit selected farms, workshops, small businesses and remote commercial sites. Larger loads may require multiple systems or a dedicated commercial solution.
